The Leckhampton Players were founded in 1947 and have enjoyed over 70 years running as a successful amateur dramatics society, based in Leckhampton, Cheltenham.

As a society, we produce 3 shows each year. Typically, the format for this is a pantomime in January/February, a musical production in spring, and a play in the autumn.

Rehearsals usually take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings, however the director of each individual production will release a rehearsal schedule specifically for their show.

Become a member

We are always keen to welcome new members, both on stage and off. So, if your talent doesn’t include acting or singing there are many other aspects of our society to get involved in.

You could help to create, paint and build the scenery, become part of the backstage crew during productions, assist with the wardrobe, support with the lighting and sound, publicity, or join the front of house team/bar staff.

Get in touch if you’re interested in becoming a member.

Become a patron

The society also runs a patron scheme, and by paying a yearly subscription of just £5.00 per person (£9.00 for couples), you can become a patron.

This will entitle you to receive the society newsletter and receive a priority booking form – enabling you to book tickets for each of our productions before they go on sale to the general public.
