Join us

We’re always looking for new members and patrons of all ages to join us in a variety of roles.

Whether acting is your thing, you’re a keen singer, painter, musician or not quite sure – we’re always looking for new members of all ages to join us in a variety of roles.

As a society, we usually produce 3 shows each year:

  • A pantomime in January/February
  • A musical production in the spring
  • A play in the autumn

Rehearsals usually take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings, however the director of each individual production will release a rehearsal schedule specifically for their show.

Alternatively, if you’re not looking to be involved in productions but would still like to support the society, you can become a patron and benefit from the society newsletter and priority booking for each of our productions.

Members and patrons can join the society, or manage their existing subscription by visiting the membership hub.

Our members support a variety of roles

We’re always keen to welcome new members in a variety of roles both on and off-stage. If your talent doesn’t include acting or singing, there’s many other aspects of our society to get involved in.

  • Acting and Singing
  • Backstage crew
  • Props
  • Carpentry and scenery building
  • Wardrobe and costumes
  • Front of house and bar
  • Lighting, sound and projections
  • Publicity, social media & photography

Annual membership fees are £9 for adults and £5 for juniors.

Patrons

The society also runs a patron scheme, and by paying a yearly subscription of just £5.00 per person (£9.00 for couples), you can become a patron.

This will entitle you to receive the society newsletter and receive a priority booking form – enabling you to book tickets for each of our productions before they go on sale to the general public.
